::Morning Times Cafe Serves As Downtown Oasis

RALEIGH - At the Morning Times cafe in downtown Raleigh, patrons can enjoy a quiet oasis in the center of the city while enjoying food and surfing the Internet or reading the paper.
Morning Times serves coffee, juices, various pastries and sandwiches and wraps from their kitchen. Our favorite was their yogurt dish with fresh fruit and granola on top.
Of course, what coffee shop or cafe would be complete these days without free wireless Internet access and the Morning Times offers that service to customers.
The two story Morning Times has the service counter downstairs and upstairs is wide open room complete with couches, cushy leather chairs, dining tables, and modern art decorations in a unique atmosphere.
It's certainly quiet and a great place to work while you're in the downtown area. We enjoyed working there while grabbing a quick bite to eat and looking out over the Hargett Street scene through the big windows on the second floor.
The cafe is located at 8 Hargett Street next to the Raleigh Times bar and one block over from Fayetteville Street. The Morning Times opens at 6:30am Monday - Friday and at 7:30am on Saturday and Sunday.
Our only complaint? We wish the Morning Times were open a little later as they close at 5pm. It would be great to linger a little longer and enjoy a cup of coffee after getting off of work.
But if you're able to visit during their current hours, you will surely enjoy this quiet oasis conveniently located downtown. ::
