TV Stars Coming To Raleigh For WB22 Block Party

RALEIGH -- Raleigh residents will be able to meet TV stars, watch the Mission Impossible III movie, and win prizes at a big celebration on Saturday September 9th in Moore Square in downtown Raleigh from 4pm to 11pm, all for free.
The free block party event is organized by TV stations, WB22 and UPN28 as they change over to the CW Network and My Network TV on September 18th.

Fans of the hit TV show "One Tree Hill" can meet at least two of the show's stars on Saturday. According to Kim Rivenbark of WB22, Barbara Alyn Woods who plays Deb Scott on the show has been confirmed to appear at the party. Also, Moira Kelly who plays Karen Roe on One Tree Hill and has appeared on NBC's "West Wing" has also been confirmed, says Rivenbark.
In addition, actress Dawnn Lewis of "A New World" and "Andy Richter Controls The Universe" has been scheduled to appear as well as Chris "Play" Martin of the 1980's Kid N' Play.
The stations say the event with start at 5pm with a concert from Crush. They will also have a kid's corner with face painting, inflatables, clowns, and kid's karaoke.
At 8:45pm, the summer blockbuster movie Mission Impossible III will be shown on the outdoor screen.
There will also be giveaways at the event including a flat screen TV, a $500 Visa Gift Card, guitar, and surround sound system. ::: |
